The Kota Kemuning Shoestring Run is a charitable running event organised by Touch n' Grow Community Support, a not-for-profit community service centre. All proceeds goes towards programmes catering to the holistic nurturing and development of individuals in the family and society from all races and religion.It was a fun day with many prizes and trophies for winners. Others simply could enjoy the sumptuous food set-up by the courtyard area. There was a burger stall, a gelato stand, nasi lemak, fried noodles and apam stalls too. Muffins and cup-cakes were the delights of the day for the kiddies.
Kota Kemuning Pacers were there. The organizers had graciously allowed us to display our banners there. Our Captain, Steven and his family took part in the run and so did Alt. Captain, Raymond and his family.
In the A Category, Ray and Nick came in at the 4th placing while Steven and Cheryl came in at the 11th placing, one position short of the winning prize. Their children, Shaunie and Jeremy did very well unexpectedly and came in at the 10th placing.
Congratulations to our team! We shall come prepared and do better next year!
