The Kota Kemuning Shoestring Run is a charitable running event organised by Touch n' Grow Community Support, a not-for-profit community service centre. All proceeds goes towards programmes catering to the holistic nurturing and development of individuals in the family and society from all races and religion.
It was a fun day with many prizes and trophies for winners. Others simply could enjoy the sumptuous food set-up by the courtyard area. There was a burger stall, a gelato stand, nasi lemak, fried noodles and apam stalls too. Muffins and cup-cakes were the delights of the day for the kiddies.
Kota Kemuning Pacers were there. The organizers had graciously allowed us to display our banners there. Our Captain, Steven and his family took part in the run and so did Alt. Captain, Raymond and his family.
In the A Category, Ray and Nick came in at the 4th placing while Steven and Cheryl came in at the 11th placing, one position short of the winning prize. Their children, Shaunie and Jeremy did very well unexpectedly and came in at the 10th placing.
Congratulations to our team! We shall come prepared and do better next year!

Hey everyone ...
There'll be another Nite Run organised for Wednesday, 13 May 2009. The 20km (10 laps round the lake) run will begin at 7.00 pm . For the shorter runs at 5km (2 laps) or 10km (5 laps) will start alittle later at 8.00 pm.
Meeting place will be at the basketball court, opposite McDonald's in Kota Kemuning.
For the serious runners under training and those who are interested in the long distance fun, hope to see you there. For others who wish to join in the "nite run fun" irrespective the distance, put on your running shoes and let's motivate each others.
See ya all there on time. The more the merrier!

Nite Run 15km
A last minute arrangement but nonetheless a good run for those who turned up this evening. Our very first night run. Started at about 8.05 pm, the group of 6 ran a total of 7 loops round the lake which is equivalent to about 15km. Finished around 9.40 pm.
Now, everyone's excited over the next night run already. Looks like there'll be more group runs soon, doesn't matter night or day.
Anyone, doesn't matter if you are new to running or an old-hand at it, or even if you wish to only pick up running for fun, just put on your running shoes and join us.
Everyone's welcomed. We look forward to seeing you soon.
